  • pa (パ) - head; top, summit

      • ponno (ポンノ) - few, a little (water to drink, etc.), a bit

  • pu (プ)- an elevated structure in which to store food and other valuables (the traditional Ainu equivalent of a shed or a warehouse)
  • pukusa (プクサ) - a kind of wild plant (Allium victorialis subsp. platyphyllum) that is prized by the Ainu for its pungent, garlic-like flavor (known in Japanese as Ainu negi "Ainu onion" or gyōja ninniku "wandering ascetic garlic")
  • punki (プンキ) - a guard, a watchman
  • put (プッ) - a confluence (of two rivers); a mouth (of a body of water), an outlet
  • puy (プィ) - a hole
  • puyar (プヤラ) - a window (also ピヤラ piyar, プララ purar, プラィ puray, or プワラ puwar depending on the dialect)
