Lincoln Law School of Sacramento - General Information

General Information

Lincoln is an evening-only law school. The school was founded in 1969 as an affiliate of Lincoln University. The law school is now an independent educational institution.

The law school was accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners (CBE) of the State Bar of California in 1978, but has never been accredited by the American Bar Association. It has never applied for ABA accreditation as it is a night school only with no full-time faculty, as required to be ABA accredited. While CBE accreditation qualifies graduates for the California Bar Examination, lack of ABA accreditation affects the standing of graduates in other states relative to bar exams outside of California.

Teaching faculty at Lincoln Law School is made up of judges and practitioners from the Sacramento legal community.

Famous quotes containing the words general and/or information:

Through the particular, in wartime, I felt the high-voltage current of the general pass.
    Elizabeth Bowen (1899–1973)

We hear a great deal of lamentation these days about writers having all taken themselves to the colleges and universities where they live decorously instead of going out and getting firsthand information about life. The fact is that anybody who has survived his childhood has enough information about life to last him the rest of his days.
    Flannery O’Connor (1925–1964)
