Admissions
Its student population is just under 1400, including over 300 in the sixth form. 15% of school pupils receive free school meals.
The school has had Language College status since 2001, and offers teaching in French, Spanish, German, Mandarin Chinese, Russian and most recently Latin. The headteacher of the school is Dr Andy Wright, who has a PhD and has been in place since September 2005.
