Leggo Beast

Leggo Beast (born Murray Clark) is a recording artist, music producer and DJ.

He began his musical career as one member of Opik (Earning sinle of the week in the N.M.E. in 1992 before being signed to the Deconstruction record label 1992–1995), then as one half of the Bullitnuts (signed to Pork Recordings 1995–1999). Leggo Beast produced 2 albums with Pork Recordings, From Here to G (2000) and Sines and Cymbals (2001). His last album, Tales From the Crib, was released on the Big Chill label (2007). More recently, his production work includes music for films (Dirty Sanchez, Sparkle) TV and advertising. Leggo Beast was a featured DJ in the Addictive TV series, Mixmasters. He has DJed extensively at venues in Belgium, Moscow, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Los Angeles, Athens, New York, Czech Republic, Stockholm, and throughout the UK, most prominently at the Glastonbury Festival, Headlining the Rizla tent, Fridays at Fabric (London) and the Big Chill festival. Previous residencies include Medicine Bar (London), The Welly (Hull) and Elbow Rooms (London) with Pork Recordings.

Murray quit DJing in 2010 to pursue painting, but can be found on occasional weekends at the Big Chill House or the Big Chill Bar (London).
