Laurieann Gibson (born July 14, 1969 in Toronto, Ontario) is a creative director, VMA-winning choreographer, and Emmy-nominated director best known for her work with Lady Gaga, Diddy and Katy Perry. She rose to public prominence as the star of MTV's Making the Band and P. Diddy and Mark Burnett’s Starmaker series. Gibson was also a "Fly Girl" on the popular TV series In Living Color.
Gibson trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She went from theatre dance to hip hop as she was the director of choreography for Motown and Bad Boy Records. She has worked with Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys and Beyoncé. She has also done choreography for the movies Alfie (2004 film) and Honey (2003 film). In the movie Honey she is also featured in the film as Honey’s dance nemesis. She also spends some time at the Broadway Dance Center to teach classes.
In November 2011, Lady Gaga ended her professional relationship with Gibson due to "creative differences".
