Larry Boy and The Bad Apple

Larry Boy And The Bad Apple

LarryBoy and the Bad Apple is the 29th episode in the VeggieTales animated series, and the third installment of the LarryBoy adventures. The video was released in 2006 and is the first VeggieTales episode to be available only on DVD format. Subtitled "A Lesson in Fighting Temptation", it emphasizes that we cannot fight temptation alone; instead we should draw on the support of others (family, friends, and God) to help us.

Unlike earlier LarryBoy videos that dealt with obvious evils (lying and rumors), this episode focuses on a more ambiguous problem: while the things that tempt us are not necessarily evil themselves, allowing them to dominate our lives can be problematic and disruptive.

Famous quotes containing the words larry, boy, bad and/or apple:

Where you gonna go? Where you gonna run? Where you gonna hide? Nowhere. ‘Cause there’s no one like you left.
Nicholas St. John, U.S. screenwriter, Larry Cohen (b. 1936)

When you gonna get married, Marty? You should be ashamed of yourself. All your brothers and sisters, younger than you, they get married and got the children. I meet your mother in the produce store. She say to me “Eh, you know a nice girl for my boy Marty?” What’s the matter with you? That’s no way!
    Paddy Chayefsky (1923–1981)

When any one of our relations was found to be a person of a very bad character, a troublesome guest, or one we desired to get rid of, upon his leaving my house I ever took care to lend him a riding-coat, or a pair of boots, or sometimes a horse of small value, and I always had the satisfaction of finding he never came back to return them.
    Oliver Goldsmith (1728–1774)

When the apple is ripe it will fall.
    —Irish proverb.

An English equivalent to this might be, “To everything there is a season.”
