Changes 2003 – 2007

- Marietta Farrell replaced Patricia Lewsley after Lewsley's resignation to take up a commissioner post

Changes 1998–2003
- Patrick Roche resigned from the UK Unionist Party and, together with other UKUP Assembly Members, formed the Northern Ireland Unionist Party on 5 January 1999.
- Ivan Davis failed to be selected by the UUP to fight the 2003 election and so stood as an independent unionist.
In the 1996 election to the Northern Ireland Peace Forum, 5 Forum members were elected from Lagan Valley. They were as follows:
