Lady Luck Hotel & Casino

The Lady Luck is a hotel and casino in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. It has been closed since 2006, and is scheduled to reopen in April 2013 with a new name, the Downtown Grand.

It is owned by Fifth Street Gaming, who also own The Silver Nugget. Interior spaces have been largely demolished in preparation for renovations. Set on 6.27 acres (2.54 ha) at 3rd Street and East Ogden Avenue, the development is composed of two towers: the 17-story East Tower built in 1985 with 297-hotel rooms on floors 3-17, and the 25-story West Tower with 334 hotel rooms on floors 6-25. The East Tower is connected to the ground level casino. The property is served by a four-level parking garage and features several restaurants and entertainment venues along 3rd Street. These popular establishments include Triple George Grill, Sidebar and Hogs & Heifers.

Famous quotes containing the words lady, luck and/or hotel:

    Earth hath swallowed all my hopes but she;
    She is the hopeful lady of my earth.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    For, the expectation of gratitude is mean, and is continually punished by the total insensibility of the obliged person. It is a great happiness to get off without injury and heart-burning, from one who has had the ill luck to be served by you. It is a very onerous business, this being served, and the debtor naturally wishes to give you a slap.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

    They all see you when you least suspect.
    Out flat in your p.j.’s glowering at T.V.
    or at the oven gassing the cat
    or at the Hotel 69 head to knee.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
