KTMJ-CA - Newscasts

Newscasts

In April 2007, KTMJ began to simulcast newscasts from fellow Fox affiliate WDAF-TV in Kansas City. In April 2009 following New Vision's purchase of KTMJ-CA, NBC affiliate KSNT began producing a two-hour weekday morning newscast at 7 a.m. and a half-hour newscast at 9 p.m. weeknights for the station. Currently, KTMJ airs 2.5 hours of local newscasts on weekdays, which are produced by KSNT and KTKA's shared news department under the Kansas First News branding. On Monday, October 8, Kansas First News switched to HD, becoming the second, and last news service in the Topeka area to switch to HD.
