Krispy Kreme first opened in South Korea on December 2004 in Sinchon-dong, Seoul. The Korean franchise is owned and operated by the Lotte Group.
Over the past few years Krispy Kreme South Korea have opened eighteen stores, fifteen in Seoul/Gyeonggi-do and two in Busan and one in Daejeon. These include hot locations and fresh stores.
In 2009, Krispy Kreme have 30 stores in South Korea, three new stores have opened in Seoul and 9 more stores in main cities of the country.
