Outlying Translators
Red River Broadcasting owns and operates eight analog translators that serve to increase the coverage area of KQDS-TV. All of the translators except K31GH and K39GG had construction permits to air low-powered digital signals, but the permits expired without any of the stations converting from analog to digital broadcasting. To comply with the digital television transition in the United States all of the stations must get new permits and convert to digital by September 1, 2015 in order to remain on the air.

Famous quotes containing the word outlying:
“In my utter impotence to test the authenticity of the report of my senses, to know whether the impressions they make on me correspond with outlying objects, what difference does it make, whether Orion is up there in heaven, or some god paints the image in the firmament of the soul?”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
