Sister station KCRA produces several newscasts for KQCA. This includes ones at 7 am-9 am, 10 pm on weekdays and 10 pm on weekends. Like KCRA, all of the newscasts on KQCA are broadcast in HD. During all newscasts, KQCA uses KCRA's news helicopter that is known as "LiveCopter 3 HD". During all weather forecasts, KQCA uses KCRA's regional weather radar that is known as "KCRA 3 Live Triple Doppler".
