Many of the 2007's attendees returned. A focus remained on the website, open source, and IT industries, with notable exceptions including the Hon Judith Tizard. Prominent radio personality Kim Hill broadcast live interviews from the event. Other visiting technologists included Tom Coates in his role as Head of Product for Yahoo!'s Brickhouse initiative and the creator of Fire Eagle
