On November 5, 2010 Kearns High School started using the iSchool Initiative with money from a federal stimulus Enhancing Education Through Technology grant. The media specialist, Rachel Murphy, wrote the grant to start the iCougars program and continues to do amazing work with the student and faculty at Kearns High. The program has each student use an iPod Touch to keep track of assignments, to take notes, to learn different languages, to do research, and to do many other educational things. Kearns High School is the first school of its size to use the iSchool Initiative.
