Sri Kaliki Yanadi Reddy had been elected as MLA for this constituency consecutively four times. After his era, Vanteru Venugopal Reddy(1999-04) and Magunta Parvatamma(2004-09) took his place. Currently, Sri Beeda Mastan Rao(2009-14) of the Telugu Desam party is the MLA.
