Sports
Kattappana schools and colleges have been promoting sports. In the State school athletic meets, Kattappana educational district used to be runners-up for many years consecutively. There are football clubs in the town, such as Spices City Club. An annual football event is conducted in which various clubs from all over Kerala participate.
Kattappana also has a sports stadium.
