Kanat Islam

Kanat Islam (Chinese: 哈那提·斯拉木; pinyin: Hānàtí Sīlāmù; Kazah: قانات يسلام (Қанат Ислам or Qanat Ïsläm); born September 13, 1984 in Altay, Xinjiang) - professional boxer (at 69 kg, 8-0-0) from Kazakhstan, lives and trains in Miami in Nelsons promotion company. Kanat was a Chinese amateur boxer of Kazakh ancestry best known for winning bronze at welterweight at the 2008 Summer Olympics, the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships and the 2006 Asian Games. Captain of the "Astana Arlans" (WSB). Now (from 2011) a citizen of Kazakhstan.
