The IT District of Kochi
Being the IT area of Kochi, Kakkanad is home for the second largest IT industrial park in Kerala, the Kochi InfoPark, and also for the upcoming as well as the largest IT industrial township in the state, the Kochi SmartCity. Kakkanad is also home for a Software Export Promotion Zone (SEPZ). The international submarine cable systems landing in Kochi has their nodes installed in Kakkanad. The CSEZ houses the Muthoot Technopolis which is occupied by The Cognizant Technology Solutions, Williamslea and the Sutherland Global Solutions.
