Though Kakinada is not known for tourism, it has some good places in and around to visit, like ancient temples, some beaches, mangrove forests and Godavari delta. The Union Territory of Yanam on the banks of River Godavari,25 km south of Kakinada, is making rapid strides in Tourism. A replica of the world famous Eiffel Tower, 100m in height, is being built there. AP Tourism is trying to promote the Konaseema region (30 km from Kakinada), into a tourism hub.
