Journal of Graphics Tools

The Journal of Graphics Tools, abbreviated jgt and JGT, is a peer-reviewed research journal that focuses on computer graphics. It was published quarterly by A K Peters, Ltd. from 1996 to 2011, at which point Taylor and Francis acquired the journal. As stated in each issue, the journal “provides computer graphics professionals with practical ideas and techniques that solve real problems.”

From 2009-2011, the journal was published as the Journal of Graphics, GPU, & Game Tools to reflect the fact that a broad range of subjects related to computer graphics are covered by the journal.

In 2005, AK Peters published a book entitled Graphics Tools—The jgt Editors’ Choice containing a collection 32 papers judged by the editorial board to be the most useful and interesting to have appeared in the journal up to that point in time.

The journal's website is www.tandfonline.com/ujgt.

Famous quotes containing the words journal and/or tools:

Unfortunately, many things have been omitted which should have been recorded in our journal; for though we made it a rule to set down all our experiences therein, yet such a resolution is very hard to keep, for the important experience rarely allows us to remember such obligations, and so indifferent things get recorded, while that is frequently neglected. It is not easy to write in a journal what interests us at any time, because to write it is not what interests us.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Justice and truth are too such subtle points that our tools are too blunt to touch them accurately.
    Blaise Pascal (1623–1662)
