Josh Caray

Josh Caray was the 2009 television play-by-play announcer for 25 games with the Atlanta Braves Class AAA affiliate, the Gwinnett Braves, where he was paired with Brian Jordan. He also calls football games for the Rome High School Wolves.

Caray is a grandson of the late announcer Harry Caray, and a son of the late Atlanta Braves announcer Skip Caray. His older half-brother, Chip Caray, is also a broadcaster for the Braves.

Caray is a 2004 graduate of Oglethorpe University where he was on the track and field team. Before then, he attended Guilford College where he called their football games on the radio.

He called the games of the Rome Braves in 2007 and 2008. During this period, Josh also pursued a career in musical theater, although this did not pan out in the fame he sought. Some of his notable appearances include a walk-on role in the one-night production of Rehearsal for Murder, which premiered in 2009 at the Atlanta Bread Company in Peachtree City and a supporting role in a production of Arsenic and Old Lace. Unfortunately, his performance in Arsenic and Old Lace garnered largely negative reviews for his dancing abilities and his tendency to mouth other actors' lines as they were speaking.

Currently, Josh broadcasts games for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the Atlantic League. On November 19, 2011, Caray was behind the mic for one of the greatest upsets in college basketball history as he called Presbyterian College's 56–54 win over the #20 Cincinnati Bearcats for the Blue Hose.

When not serving as a play-by-play broadcaster, Caray also serves as a studio host and board operator for IMG College. He currently serves in this capacity for Tulane football and basketball after covering the UNLV basketball beat last season and also reports for All News 106.7 WYAY in Atlanta,GA. He is an avid fan of The Jerry Springer Show. He has stated that his favorite snack food is Cracker Jack.
