Johannes Gehrke

Johannes Gehrke is a professor of computer science at Cornell University who works in the areas of database systems and data mining. He received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1999 for a thesis in data mining. Since its second edition, he has been a co-author of the standard textbook on database systems, commonly known as the Cow Book. Johannes currently leads database research initiatives at Cornell. His group is popularly known as the Big Red Data group.
