Jodi Unruh

Jodi Unruh (born April 1, 1965) is a veteran news anchor and award-winning journalist who retired from the 11:00 pm weekday anchor seat at KVAL-TV in December of 2007. She continued to work as a voice talent locally and nationally. Unruh is the owner and President of a public relations and marketing company, Jodi Unruh and Associates, LLC.

Unruh has more than two decades of experience in media/entertainment news. After graduating from University of Oregon in Journalism and completing graduate studies at UCLA, Unruh worked in entertainment news in Los Angeles, California for six years, where she hosted nationally syndicated shows for networks such as ESPN. Unruh then returned to Oregon, where she worked as an anchor-reporter in Bend for about a year before heading back to her hometown, Eugene, to work for KVAL-TV.

During her eleven years at KVAL-TV, Unruh received numerous honors that included First Place awards for her reporting in the breaking news category from the Associated Press and The Society of Professional Journalists. As a board member and honorary chair of several local non-profit groups, Unruh was honored for community service from organizations that included Committed Partners for Youth and The Oregon Humane Society.

As a former Miss Oregon USA, Miss Teen Oregon, Oregon's Homecoming Princess and America's Homecoming princess, Unruh has also judged many beauty pageants and worked as a pageant coach.
