Jason Armstrong was one of the COs who was assigned to Emerald City, taking care of Emerald City entry gate. When the riot erupted, Armstrong called for help and ran to Emerald City. When he got out of his room, Ryan O'Reily beat him using a chair, leaving Jason unconscious. Tim McManus made a deal with Kareem Said, where he would trade himself for the injured COs Armstrong and Joseph Mineo.
