Towards An IPBES
Based on the MA follow-up initiative and the outcomes of the IMoSEB consultative, and under the auspice of UNEP, a concept note was developed, beginning of 2008, by a number of experts in their individual capacities, on Intergovernmental Science-Policy platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). This concept note was presented at several events (CBD COP 9, IUCN world congress) and for review by governments.
