No Definitive Method
Sri Aurobindo and the Mother taught that surrendering to the ‘higher' consciousness was one of the most important processes of the supramental yoga. There is no definitive method for every practitioner of the yoga, else it would not be an adventure. Supramental consciousness would act and establish itself in Earthly life. Both Sri Aurobindo and the Mother always explained that how this will happen is for the divine to decide and evolve with time. The Mother decided to take this work down to the matter at the cellular level in the late 1960s.

Famous quotes containing the words definitive and/or method:
“I always used to suffer a great deal if I let myself get too close to reality since the definitive world of the everyday with its hard edges and harsh light did not have enough resonance to echo the demands I made upon experience. It was as if I never experienced experience as experience. Living never lived up to the expectations I had of itthe Bovary syndrome.”
—Angela Carter (19421992)
“Traditional scientific method has always been at the very best 20-20 hindsight. Its good for seeing where youve been. Its good for testing the truth of what you think you know, but it cant tell you where you ought to go.”
—Robert M. Pirsig (b. 1928)
