Affiliations

The IES is a member of the Society for the Environment, the Science Council and the European Federation of Associations of Environmental Professionals. Through its training work in sustainable development it has developed close links with the Environment Agency, Forum for the Future, and many other professional bodies. The IES works closely with the Committee of Heads of Environmental Science to accredit programmes of study in universities and to support and promote the discipline in higher education.

Through its support for the development of the Institute of Air Quality Management, the IES has developed close links with a range of air quality organisations - including Environmental Protection UK.

The IES works with all of these partners, on behalf of its members, to advance the environmental science field and individual professional development.
