Illinois 351 is the former Business U.S. Route 51 through La Salle. It crosses over the Illinois River south of La Salle and passes underneath the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Bridge as it climbs out of the Illinois River Valley. Like Illinois Route 251, Illinois 351 can be considered a spur off its parent, U.S. Route 51.

Famous quotes containing the words route and/or description:
“By a route obscure and lonely,
Haunted by ill angels only,
Where an eidolon, named Night,
On a black throne reigns upright,
I have reached these lands but newly
From an ultimate dim Thule
From a wild weird clime that lieth, sublime,
Out of spaceout of time.”
—Edgar Allan Poe (18091849)
“The great object in life is Sensationto feel that we exist, even though in pain; it is this craving void which drives us to gaming, to battle, to travel, to intemperate but keenly felt pursuits of every description whose principal attraction is the agitation inseparable from their accomplishment.”
—George Gordon Noel Byron (17881824)
