IBM Web Sphere Portlet Factory

WebSphere Portlet Factory is an IBM product that was originally developed by Bowstreet until it was acquired by IBM in December 2005. It is a development environment for building portal and web applications. Recently IBM has changed the name of the software from Websphere Portlet Factory to Web Experience factory. The reason for changing the name is to convey that the software can be used to create other types of web applications besides just portlet applications. For example, the software can be used to make stand alone web application, mobile web applications and widget applications. The latest release is Web Experience Factory 7.0.1
