Song Information
The song's original Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-produced version appears on Jackson's The Velvet Rope album, whereas a remix featuring BLACKstreet was produced by Teddy Riley and released in addition to the original version as an alternate single. The song was nominated for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance at the 1999 Grammy Awards, but lost out to Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)". In 1998 Jackson performed this song on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, the "TMF Awards show" and the Soul Train awards show. It was also included in concerts on Jackson's worldwide The Velvet Rope Tour, using the same choreography as that of the music video, and later on the Rock Witchu Tour. It was also included in her 2011 tour, Number Ones: Up Close and Personal.

Famous quotes containing the words song and/or information:
“In almost all climes the tortoise and the frog are among the precursors and heralds of this season, and birds fly with song and glancing plumage, and plants spring and bloom, and winds blow, to correct this slight oscillation of the poles and preserve the equilibrium of nature.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Phenomenal nature shadows him wherever he goes. Clouds in the staring sky transmit to one another, by means of slow signs, incredibly detailed information regarding him. His inmost thoughts are discussed at nightfall, in manual alphabet, by darkly gesticulating trees. Pebbles or stains or sunflecks form patterns representing in some awful way messages which he must intercept. Everything is a cipher and of everything he is the theme.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
