The Hungarian Figure Skating Championships are a figure skating national championship held annually to determine the national champions of Hungary. Skaters compete in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Not every discipline has been held in every year due to a lack of competitors.
Famous quotes containing the words figure and/or skating:
“We met. But all
We did that day was mingle great and small
Footprints in summer dust as if we drew
The figure of our being less than two
But more than one as yet.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“Good writing is a kind of skating which carries off the performer where he would not go, and is only right admirable when to all its beauty and speed a subserviency to the will, like that of walking, is added.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
