  • Chen Simei (陈思美, portrayed by Hong Huifang (洪慧芳)) - A thrifty housewife who likes to take advantages and picks up people's unwanted items from her block. Married Chen Wei Bin and has a daughter.
  • Chen Weibin (陈伟斌, portrayed by Brandon Wong (黄烔耀)) - Husband of Chen Simei. An outspoken man who used to be a famous actor in MediaCorp. Gone are his glorious days and so he retreats to be a taxi driver. Loves to gamble.
  • Alice Zheng (曾慧贤, portrayed by Ann Kok (郭舒贤)) - A modern housewife who loves dolling herself. She is materialistic and loves to show off. Married Zhang Jiasheng and has a son and a daughter. Lives in a 5-room flat with them and her mother-in-law who proves to become a burden for her later on.
  • Zhang Jiasheng (张家盛, portrayed by Yao Wenlong (姚文隆)) - Husband of Alice. Works as an engineer and is a male chauvinist. He is a filial son who would always ask Alice to give in to his mother.
  • Zhong Aiqin (钟爱琴, portrayed by Xiang Yun (向云)) - A very cowardly housewife who often worries for nothing. Married to Bryan and has a son and a daughter. Lives in a 4-room flat with them and her parents-in-law. Her worries came true when she realised her husband is having an affair.
  • Bryan He (何龙威, portrayed by Rayson Tan (陈泰铭)) - Husband of Zhong Aiqin. A salesman who sells massage chairs who is addicted to computer games. Stays together with his parents so that he can live off his parents' savings. Realised his marriage life is extremely bland. He later has an extra-marital affair with Wendy.
