March 15, 2012, it was announced that WWE Studios would be producing a Leprechaun reboot in conjunction with Lionsgate, who also worked with them on See No Evil and The Condemned.
On March 29, WWE.com unveiled a new video depicting Postl in the new film, titled Leprechaun: Origins. He announced via Twitter that it would come out in March 2013.
