Hilperton

Hilperton is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, and is separated by only a few fields from the town of Trowbridge. The village is on the edge of Trowbridge, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) northeast of the town centre.

There are two main parts of the village:

  • The old quarter, including the church, Hill Street, and the pub.
  • A large area of new housing constructed from 1997, mostly called Paxcroft Mead, a district often mistaken as a suburb of Trowbridge. To the West of Marsh road is the village of Hilperton Marsh, a separate entity, which has a petrol station and stores, and leads to the village of Staverton and the Canal Road Industrial Estate part of Trowbridge.
