Helga Pataki - Appearance

Appearance

Like the other characters on the show, Helga's attire rarely changes: she usually wears a pink jumper over a white shirt, a large pink bow in her hair and white shoes. She has bright, blonde hair, which she wears in long pigtails without any visible hair ties, and a black unibrow. The color of Helga's eyes was stated to be blue by Arnold in the episode "Married," and there was actually a close up of them in "Helga Blabs it All" in which we get to see that her eyes are in fact, blue.

  • In the episode "Student Teacher", in the car on the way home from the airport, Olga comments on Helga's bow and asks her if it's new. Helga promptly replies "I've only worn it since I was four."

Famous quotes containing the word appearance:

The whole appearance is a toy. For this,
The dove in the belly builds his nest and coos,
Selah, tempestuous bird. How is it that
The rivers shine and hold their mirrors up,
    Like excellence collecting excellence?
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)

Though an unpleasant sort of person, and even a queer threatener withal, yet, if one meets him, one must get along with him as one can; for his ignorance is extreme. And what under heaven indeed should such a phantasm as Death know, for all that the Appearance tacitly claims to be somebody that knows much?
    Herman Melville (1819–1891)

The complaint ... about modern steel furniture, modern glass houses, modern red bars and modern streamlined trains and cars is that all these objets modernes, while adequate and amusing in themselves, tend to make the people who use them look dated. It is an honest criticism. The human race has done nothing much about changing its own appearance to conform to the form and texture of its appurtenances.
