Heiner Brau

Heiner Brau is a microbrewery and brewing museum located in the historic Passenger Rail Station building in Covington, Louisiana, United States.

Heiner Brau is partially owned and operated by Brewmeister Henryk "Heiner" Orlik, an expatriate from Nuremberg, Germany who holds a degree from the Doemens School of Brewers and Malsters.

Some of the beers brewed by Heiner Brau are marketed as being brewed by the "Covington Brewhouse". This was done when their marketing analysis indicated that many shoppers were assuming that Heiner Brau was a German import due to its name and label design. The "Covington Brewhouse" branded beers are the brewery's best sellers, attributed to a desire by consumers to "buy local".

Heiner Brau is one of the contract brewers of Dixie Beer while the historic Dixie Brewery in New Orleans is rebuilt after being severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina .
