Heart 107.3

Heart 107.3 (call sign: 7XXX) is a major Hobart radio broadcaster, which was identified as Magic 107 until August 2006.

The station plays music from the 60's to today, and targets an older demographic than the other two commercial radio stations serving Hobart (Sea FM & 7HO-FM). Their positioner is "Hobart's Widest Variety Of Music".

It was also the home of Tasmanian Disc Jockey, Bob Cooke, who left the station late 2006. The station also broadcasts The Charles Wooley Show from 9am-12pm weekdays, which is produced in the Heart 107.3 studios in Hobart to a number of other Macquarie Regional Radioworks' localworks stations.

However, Heart 107's life began in 1937 as 7HT, Hobart's Second Commercial Station broadcasting on 1080am, 7HT became a racing station during the early 1990s before converting to 107.3 FM MHz in 1998 changing Format to Classic Hits and Renamed Magic107 and later Heart 107.3.

In early 2009 Hobart radio duo Kim & Dave moved from Sea FM (100.9) to what is now dubbed as the "all new Heart 107.3" and broadcast from 5:30am-9am followed by Dangerous Dave

Famous quotes containing the word heart:

Good-bye, good luck, struck the sun and the moon,
To the fisherman lost on the land.
He stands alone at the door of his home,
With his long-legged heart in his hand.
