Harlingen High School South

Harlingen High School South is located at 1701 Dixieland Road in Harlingen, Texas and is part of the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District. HHSS is the second of 3 public high schools in Harlingen. Harlingen High School was the sole high school until 1993 when the Alamo Ninth Grade Academy officially changed to a high school. Early College High School is the third campus, which provides students with the opportunity to gain college hours while simultaneously being a high school student. There is also one Ninth Grade Academy.
