Hard Justice (2008) - Event

Event

Before Hard Justice aired live on PPV, a predetermined segment took place outside of the arena between Lauren Thompson (Lauren Brooke) and Sting, who had just made his unknown and unscheduled scripted arrival. Thompson repeatedly asked him about his actions at Victory Road and possibly helping Angle and Booker T on Impact! in the weeks leading to the event. Sting, however, remained silent while entering the arena.

The event officially began with a live performance of the official theme song for the event, "AyAyAya", by Filthee along with Grandmaster Caz and Melle Mel. The show was advertised to also feature an appearance by rapper Ice-T, but he was absent with no reason given and was seemingly replaced with Mel. It was later revealed that Ice-T was unable to attend as a result of "travel problems".

Famous quotes containing the word event:

This event advertises me that there is such a fact as death,—the possibility of a man’s dying. It seems as if no man had ever died in America before; for in order to die you must first have lived.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

There is not any present moment that is unconnected with some future one. The life of every man is a continued chain of incidents, each link of which hangs upon the former. The transition from cause to effect, from event to event, is often carried on by secret steps, which our foresight cannot divine, and our sagacity is unable to trace. Evil may at some future period bring forth good; and good may bring forth evil, both equally unexpected.
    Joseph Addison (1672–1719)

The vanishing volatile froth of the present which any shadow will alter, any thought blow away, any event annihilate, is every moment converted into the Adamantine Record of the past.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
