Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport

Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport (simplified Chinese: 贵阳龙洞堡国际机场; traditional Chinese: 貴陽龍洞堡國際機場) (IATA: KWE, ICAO: ZUGY) is an airport serving Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou Province in southwestern China.

Guiyang Longdongbao Airport was opened on May 28, 1997 and adopted its current name on Jan 19, 2006. It is located 11 km southeast from Guiyang's city center. It is about 4 square kilometers and has a 3200-meter long, 45-meter wide runway, which can accommodate Boeing 747, Airbus A330 widebodied aircraft. The terminal is about 34000 square meters, available for over 2000 passengers departing and arriving per hour. Guiyang airport is an important hub in Southwest China.

As for 2011, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport was the 25th busiest airport in the People's Republic of China with 7,339,229 passengers.
