Famous quotes containing the words green, car and/or journal:

    As the shade went up
And the ambulance came crashing through the dust
Of the new day, the moon and the sun and the stars,
    And the iceberg slowly sank
In the volcano and the sea ran far away
Yellow over the hot sand, green as the green trees.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)

When a man opens the car door for his wife, it’s either a new car or a new wife.
    Prince Philip (b. 1921)

I think this journal will be disadvantageous for me, for I spend my time now like a spider spinning my own entrails.
    Mary Bokin Chesnut (1823–1886)
