Grassy Park Today
Grassy Park's main area is an intersection called "Busy Corner" on Victoria Road. Here you will find numerous small shops, the Grassy Park Library, a gas station, and a minibus taxi station. Grassy Park High is located two blocks from Busy Corner.
The area has become problematic with an increased incidence of crime and anti-social behavior. Neighboring Parkwood was featured in the National Geographic television series Taboo: Blood Bonds for its street gangs, particularly "The Americans", "Hard Living" and "Clever Kids."
Graffiti exhibits portraying gangster life are prominent in Parkwood. Tupac Shakur features strongly in exhibits of the Hard Livings gang due to his rap lyrics glorifying gangsterism and a life of crime.

Famous quotes containing the words grassy, park and/or today:
“I saw for a blazing moment
The great grassy world from both sides,
Man and beast in the round of their need,”
—James Dickey (b. 1923)
“Linnæus, setting out for Lapland, surveys his comb and spare shirt, leathern breeches and gauze cap to keep off gnats, with as much complacency as Bonaparte a park of artillery for the Russian campaign. The quiet bravery of the man is admirable.”

“But today I set the bed afire
and smoke is filling the room,
it is getting hot enough for the walls to melt,
and the icebox, a gluey white tooth.
I have on a mask in order to write my last words,
and they are just for you....”
—Anne Sexton (19281974)
