Goldrusher - Ride

Ride

The coaster opened along with the rest of the park on opening day 1971. The old style Arrow Development cars are made so the ride operator has to open them up manually. The ride normally operates with one train due to the low popularity. It was the first roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, making it a historical coaster.

The coaster closed after Christmas in 2012 due to the park's latest roller coaster, Full Throttle. Full Throttle will be constructed along side Goldrusher where Log Jammer used to be. Goldrusher will reopen along with Superman: Escape from Krypton, when Full Throttle opens Summer 2013.

Famous quotes containing the word ride:

Nor does the family even move about together,
But every son would have his motor cycle,
And daughters ride away on casual pillions.
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)

You will never get the crowd to shout “Hosanna!” until you ride into town on an ass.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

De gustibus non est disputandum;Mthat is, there is no disputing against HOBBY-HORSES; and, for my part, I seldom do ... for ... I keep a couple of pads myself, upon which, in their turns ... I frequently ride out and take the air.
    Laurence Sterne (1713–1768)
