Career

He studied at The School for Film and Television in New York City (now known as The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts) where he learned the Sanford Meisner technique. After leaving acting school he appeared in many independent films and in major motion pictures, Keeping the Faith (2000), 15 Minutes (2001), Stardom (2000), and The Rules of Attraction (2002). Giovanni later moved on to filmmaking where he went to college for filmmaking and multimedia. He later directed and acted in two short films, Manic (2004) and Perturb (2005), that proved his originality and directing skills. He took his films to another level with special effects and faced paced editing that made him stand out. Giovanni worked side by side with accomplished Italian director Carlo Lavagna on a documentary based on the birth of the hip-hop and graffiti culture, Hip-Hop Diaries (2006), that aired on a major television network in Europe (Sky TV, 2006). During the summer of 2005 Giovanni got work in some of New York's hottest nightclubs, (Club Crobar, CPI, and Neptunes), where he worked as a cameraman filming world famous DJ's such as Jonathan Peters, Tiƫsto, Erick Morillo and Serge Devant. Recently Giovanni directed a thriller/suspense film in the town he grew up in, Patchogue, titled "Hanging Tree" released Fall of 2011 in New York City. Other works include: Billy Mays (2010), Playlist (2006), Last One (2006), Girls Night Out (2007). Giovanni founded his own video production/media company, Magic Mind Media, where he writes, produces, directs films and music videos.
