Dallas (2012 TV Series)
Ted Shackelford passed on the small role the producers offered him to reprise his role as Gary Ewing on the new series first season, although his character's daughter, Lucy Ewing, along with her uncle Ray Krebbs made appearances at several family events. It has been announced that both Gary and Valene would return in a three episode story arc for the new series second season. However, it has yet to be clarified how the reintroduction of the characters will be handled under their unique circumstances, whether or not there will be any reminisce of their lives or children, after the two shows worlds split. Until the upcoming second season of the revival, scheduled to air in early 2013, there had been no cross of Knots Landing/Dallas characters since the end of the Dallas dream season, as Knots Landing had continued separately in what on Dallas had been the alternate parallel universe dreamed of by Pamela Barnes.
