College Career and Scandal

Forman was an assistant coach under Tim Floyd at Iowa State. Before then, he had a "scandalized" tenure as an assistant coach at New Mexico State in the early 1990s. Forman was accused of directing staff to guide "potential transfers through sham correspondence courses at the notorious Southeastern College of the Assemblies of God (SCAG)". However, he was eventually cleared by the NCAA.

Famous quotes containing the words college, career and/or scandal:

    ... when you make it a moral necessity for the young to dabble in all the subjects that the books on the top shelf are written about, you kill two very large birds with one stone: you satisfy precious curiosities, and you make them believe that they know as much about life as people who really know something. If college boys are solemnly advised to listen to lectures on prostitution, they will listen; and who is to blame if some time, in a less moral moment, they profit by their information?
    Katharine Fullerton Gerould (1879–1944)

    The problem, thus, is not whether or not women are to combine marriage and motherhood with work or career but how they are to do so—concomitantly in a two-role continuous pattern or sequentially in a pattern involving job or career discontinuities.
    Jessie Bernard (20th century)

    We must cultivate our garden.
    Furia to God one day in seven allots;
    The other six to scandal she devotes.
    Satan, by false devotion never flammed,
    Bets six to one, that Furia will be damned.
    Horace Walpole (1717–1797)
