Galaxy Mall is a shopping centre in Surabaya. It is one of the biggest shopping centres in Surabaya and also in Indonesia. It is located at the east part of Surabaya. The mall is divided into two sectors. The first mall is the older part, which opened in January 1996. The second mall, which opened in September 2006, is the modern part of Galaxy Mall. The older part has undergone extensive renovations both internally and externally, which has resulted in the Mall becoming one big, modern shopping mall. Many International brands can be found throughout the Mall, such as Sogo Department Store, Mango, Guess, LaSenza, Aigner, Next, Mothercare, and many others. The mall also houses a large Celebrity Fitness, XXI Cineplex, Ranch Market 99 Supermarket, and two Food Courts, one serving an array of International cuisine and the other a compilation of the most popular East Javanese foods. There are more than 400 retail and food outlets with level 4 being dedicated to fine dining restaurants, known as " The Dining Town ", which houses Chinese, Japanese, Singaporean, Korean, Hong Kong, Malaysian, and Indonesian restaurants. The mall is maintained to the highest of standards. It is often noted as being the cleanest and safest mall in Surabaya.
