Waterford Gaeltacht
The Waterford Gaeltacht (Irish: Gaeltacht Phort Láirge, Gaeltacht na nDéise or Gaeltacht na Rinne) is ten kilometres (six miles) west of Dungarvan. In embraces the Parish of Rinn Ua gCuanach (Ring) and An Sean Phobal (Old Parish). The Waterford Gaeltacht has a population of 1,784 people (1,271 Irish speakers) and represents 2% of total Gaeltacht population. The Waterford Gaeltacht encompasses a geographical area of 62 km2 (24 sq mi). This represents 1% of total Gaeltacht area.
