G. S. Amur
Gururaja Shyamacharya Amur (Kannada: ಜಿ. ಎಸ್. ಆಮೂರ; born May 8, 1925), a professor of literature, is a contemporary writer and critic in Kannada and English. He is a recipient of many prestigious awards including the Sahitya Akademi Award, Da. Ra. Bendre Award, Rajyotsava Award, State award and the Pampa award. Amur is the older brother of K. S. Amur, who is an Indian mathematician and a disciple of Sri Aurobindo.
