The FTSEurofirst Index Series are tradable indices measuring the performance of European portfolios. The Base Date is December 31, 1985.
They are a joint product of the FTSE Group, and Euronext, providing pan-European indexes.
FTSE provided the structure, and Euronext a distribution and secondary market for cash and derivative securities.
- FTSEurofirst 80 Index – the 60 largest companies ranked by market capitalisation in the FTSE Eurozone Index and 20 additional companies selected for their size and sector representation.
- FTSEurofirst 100 Index - the 60 largest companies ranked by market capitalisation in the FTSE Developed Europe Index and 40 additional companies selected for their size and sector representation.
- FTSEurofirst 300 Index - the 300 largest companies ranked by market capitalisation in the FTSE Developed Europe Index.
